The things you're saying to others aren't as important as the things your saying to yourself.
Why? Because the things you say to others are influenced by what you're saying to yourself.
"Listen to yourself" means listening to your thoughts. You have a way of explaining things to yourself. Is that style working for you or not?
Thinking breaks are a good way to start listening to yourself.
When you listen to yourself, think of yourself in the 3rd person. This will help you view your thoughts more objectively.
Listen for thinking traps and be aware of your mental time travel.
