A baby step doesn't take much motivation, preparation, practice (skill), and - most importantly - TIME!
Baby steps build confidence and momentum. Since the baby step is easy and quick, they're easy to repeat.
You get good at taking the first step and then the second step looks easy. 🤗
Team building should be an important any manager's daily routine - right? But it's really hard to find the time.
We tend to worry about the things we didn't get to. STOP! Focus on 1 thing you can get to. Start small.
Baby steps for team building -
- Focus on team performance targets vs. individual performance targets
- Pair up co-workers in 2-person teams
- Seek team based feedback
