You build a leadership routine off a baby step. Start small. Focus on one habit.
Remember - a routine is a collection of habits that work together.
You can grow a habit or multiply the habit (Fogg, 2019).
Most leadership habits (hacks) take less than 2 minutes to execute.
Example - using a positive expectation to generate confidence and motivation. This can be a quick, hallway conversation. It's a small step.
You can grow the habit by using it time and again with different people.
You can also multiply the habit with other closely related baby steps.
Show the person an example of someone actually fulfilling the positive expectation you have of them.
That's another baby step. Now you have two small habits working together to form a routine!
It's like growing a garden! One small step at a time.
