Leadership hacks don't just happen. They need to be triggered. Why?
We fly through our management routines on auto-pilot. The habits that make up routines are pursued sub-consciously. They don't need a trigger.
If you want to add a new leadership habit to an existing management routine, you need a prompt. You need something that says "Do this now."
The better your prompt the more likely you're to try the hack.
