Thinking about work takes as much energy as doing the work. Avoid rehashing the same work related thoughts over and over. Here's how -
- Make a list - when a problem comes to mind, just jot it down. Keep a running list - much like a to-do list.
- "Worry breaks" - set aside time each day to think through what's worrying you
- Healthy distractions - when a worry resurfaces, remind yourself that you'll have worry time tomorrow and indulge yourself in a healthy distraction (exercise, family time, friends)
