"Fundamentals" are facts that explain the skill.
Example - "Feedback" is a valuable leadership skill
The fundamental "facts" you'd explain about "feedback" include -
- Timeliness - immediate feedback is key
- Consistency - people have to be conditioned to receive feedback
- Clarity - feedback has to be clear and unambiguous
PRACTICE TIP - using the example of "feedback" above, think of another skill (ex. "setting expectations") and how you would explain the fundamentals.
